Rules and Regulations of Ambassador School & College

ASC's administration and teachers emphasize student commitment in learning and taking responsibility for their actions. Our goal is to improve qualities such as courtesy, respect, self-discipline, and accountability along with moral virtues. We expect students to act responsibly, recognizing others' rights for safety, emotional well-being, and uninterrupted learning.

Teachers and parents play a crucial role in positively influencing students positively by setting clear limits and providing appropriate consequences for behavior. Familiarity and adherence to ASC's rules and regulations by parents, guardians, and students are crucial for maintaining a conducive and fruitful learning environment.

Assembly Rules

As one of the leading organizations in Aftabnagar, Ambassador School & College has certain rules and regulations. Here are some guidelines regarding the assembly of ASC:

Morning assembly is held regularly except during Ramadan.
A short verse from the Quran , Oath, and National Anthem are recited and sung respectively.
Message about school life and character building is also given out.
The sports teacher conducts exercises and students are expected to follow. It is mandatory for the students and teachers to be present at the assembly.
Important announcements are given during assembly in addition to other activities such as awards.

Student Behavior

At Ambassador School & College, we uphold a standard of conduct that fosters a positive and respectful learning environment.

Our expectations for student behavior include:

Punctuality

Arrive on time at school for individual classes.
Senior class students should make a conscious effort to be punctual when transitioning between classes.

Respectful Interaction

Greet teachers and staff members with courtesy throughout the day.
Stand up promptly and quietly as teachers enter into the classroom, greet them, and quickly take a seat to begin lessons.

Preparedness

Come to class prepared with all the necessary materials.
Ready to start work on time.

Class Participation

Raise hands politely and wait to be called upon when wishing to speak during class.
During informal discussions, take turns speaking, attentively listen, and avoid any kind of unnecessary disruptions.

Movement in Premises

Keep to the left on stairs and corridors, allowing staff to pass first.
Refrain from pushing, running, and shouting inside the school premises.

Facility Usage

Share facilities, such as computers, considerately with fellow students.
Communicate in English at all times, except during Bangla classes.

Library Etiquette

Maintain a silent atmosphere in the library.
Leave tables clear of books and chairs in their original place when leaving.

Attendance and Absence Procedures

Students are required to attend classes regularly.
Students should never leave the school premises for any reason during school hours unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or teacher, after being properly signed out at the school office.
To encourage full school attendance, a 100% ‘Attendance Award’ is given to all students who achieve this. Attendance at all school events is mandatory to qualify for this award.

Homework, Classwork, and Tests

Students are encouraged to complete Homework without the help of tutors.
Parents are requested to sign their child’s diary daily to be well-informed of homework, assignments, and notices given by teachers. Failure to do so may result in miscommunication between parents and teachers.
Students are expected to complete homework and classwork assignments neatly, carefully, and on time.
Students should work to their full potential.
Test and examination grades will be kept confidential and only disclosed to the concerned student’s parents.

Diaries

The ASC diary is the easiest, most accessible, and preferred method of communication between the school and parents.
Messages for individual teachers and comments or queries about homework should be noted in the diary.
School diaries should be checked and signed by parents daily.
In addition to homework assignments, it often contains important notices and information.

Courtesy, Integrity, and Respect for Others

Courtesy, integrity, manners and respect for others are highly valued and encouraged at ASC.
Treat others with kindness, respect, and courtesy.
Students are expected to refrain from aggressive or threatening behavior towards fellow students, teachers, or other school staff.
Fighting or rough play are strictly prohibited in school.
If a student experiences problem with another student, he or she should notify the nearest teacher or staff member immediately.
Students should be instructed in ways to avoid getting involved in conflicts.

Dress Code

Students are expected to wear the correct and complete school uniform each day.
Neatness and cleanliness are encouraged. Uniforms should be clean and pressed.

Enforcing School Rules and Regulations

ASC students are supplied with a copy of the School Rules and Regulations and all stakeholders, including parents, guardians, and students are expected to be familiar with this document.
